Item Details

Carved oval tray in the form of two vine leaves with bunches of grapes to each side. 

The surround and handles in the form of the vine. Signed by the artist, Ruef.

The Ruef Brothers were famous carvers, known in particular for their large bears and owls, from the town of Brienz, Switzerland and mentioned in "Swiss Carvings The Art of the Black Forest 1820 - 1940" by Jay Arenski.
