Late 19th century French artists easel.


This French oak artist's studio easel features a very rare double grip mechanism allowing for the height to be adjusted. It also features a forward pitch enabler. This facilitates ease of access to the upper area of the canvas and assists with perspective. It has an extendable catch at the top that holds the canvas in place. 


The easel foot rests on four casters.
