A late 18th or early 19th Century Ladies' Boudoir Table (sometimes called a 'Poudreuse' ) with its matching Chair, coming from France and specially made for a very small dressing room
The small powder blue painted Desk with gilded acanthus decorations has a Carrara marble top and a mirror -with carved & gilded frieze frame, and also has shallow drawers on either side. of the top.
The matching 'caned' Chair has carved acanthus decorations that match those on the legs of the desk.
The Desk measures 22 x15 inches x 29 high ( 56 x 38 x 74 cms).
In good basic condition . Made in France . .circa 1760-1840
