A Traditional Country Pine Refectory Table coming from Austria in the Mid to Late 19th Century which has equal length extensions at both ends, each of which independently slide out from under the table top to create a choice of Two longer surfaces. .
The Basic Measurements are 47 inches long x 28 wide x 31 high ( 79 x 120 x 71 cms) but with the overall length extending to either 68 or to 90 inches long (173 or 230 cms). depending on whether one or both extensions are slid out and into position. There are also drawers at both ends of the table. (Last two photos show the extensions exposed without the top)
The table has sturdy legs made of Pitch-Pine which are joined with a 4-arm central stretcher. This is a rare and desirable piece of Mid-European country furniture
The table is basically sound with various minor imperfections and markings from long usage. It is presently in our flat in London NW1 and is used for garden meals or parties.
