Antique Advertising Sign from France for a patent Fountain Pen - 'Etablisments- ' Old Chap' 'Le Combine'
Made of Slate , measures 37 x 34 cms x 1 centimetre deep ( 15 x 13 inches x 1/2 inch deep)
The slate sign with its engraved design and lettering is still in its original gold and silver paint, but is missing its original transparent glass front which would have given it protection against the weather etc.
The slate sign has its original fixing holes at all 4 corners and would have originally been made to hang on a wall outside a stationery shop..
Circa 1890-1920, a very historic sign for a collector or decorator.
