Carved and Gilded Pediment from a Musical Instrument shop or conservatoire in 19th century France. The beautiful wooden pediment with gilded decoration may have been an architectural embellishment or possibly set on to a piece of furniture like a musical cabinet.
The Gilded Wood Carving displays a Violin lying on top of a Mandolin and a Flute.
The pediment measures 32 inches wide x 14 high x 1.5 deep (81 x 36 x 3.8 cms) In good condition with some natural wear and imperfections from its age and usage. Made in France c. 1850-1910
