Mid- Late 19th Century Painting from France in 'Egg Tempera' paint, in its original frame, of a Young Boy holding an apple and grapes.

The boy has long hair and wears a buttoned tunic with a lace collar which was the fashion of the time.

The painting is on linen backed cartridge paper and is unsigned.

Egg Tempera paints have been used since the Middle Ages for portraiture by artists. 

Measures 22 inches high x 18 wide. In reasonable condition with various small imperfections. Circa 1865-1890
