Fine Portrait in Oil on canvas of a Military Man in Early 19th century (Post-Revolutionary) France. The style of military dress with the medals which include the royalist 'Croix de St.Louis' put the likely date as the reign of Louis XVIII from 1814-1824.
The painting which is unsigned has been relined - see photo of the reverse. In good condition, the excellent unframed painting is on its original stretcher,
