Very rare and desirable framed Mirror created on the island of Murano in the Venice lagoon in the 18th century.

The mercury plate mirror has the highly desirable early ''Scooped' or shallow scalloped bevelling, and is in its original frame wiith gilded wood beading., making it a perfect gem of an 18th century 'Looking Glass '

The mirror also has its original wooden backing on the reverse...

Measures 25 inches high x 21 wide. (  64 x 53 cms)   In good condition with fading to the mercury silver commensurate with its age.
