Vintage 'Tolework' Advertising Clock from France for 'Chocolat Revillon'. Made as a point-of-sale advertisement, it was traditionally found in shops and cafés all over France from the 1900s to the 1950s. The wavy outer shape, known as 'oeil de boeuf' (bullseye) mimics traditional French wall clocks of the 19th century. This is a good example with only some very small amount of wear .


The clock has had its original brass wind-up pendulum movement taken out and replaced with a modern battery Quartz movement so it can be used without the need to constantly be rewound


The original brass movement with its pair of hands also comes with the clock so can be replaced if preferred.
