 Rare Pair of Engraved Brass Signs 'Boeuf and 'Veau' ,  '1ere Qualité'  which were made for a 'Boucherie /Charcuterie'  shop in 19th century France. 
On the reverse side of each sign is its original welded metal hook for hanging it. (see photos)

Both signs also have the makers' name engraved at their base. 'H.TERVOORT A ROUEN'

Each sign measures 12 inches long x 8 high. (30 x 20cms) Made in France circa 1850-1890, In very good condition with a small amount of wear.
