Item Details

Rare French Champagne Ice Bucket in Brass with Pewter Royal Coat-of-Arms plaque for the world famous and ancient grower Maison 'Perrier Jouet' of Reims, France.

With brass ring handles set into pewter plaques on either side of the cooler, the bucket was issued in the post-war years to celebrate the royal warrant for supplying champagne to Buckingham Palace.

Measures 8 inches tall by 6 diameter. Made circa 1950-1975 by the prestige historic metals company L'Orfevrerie d'Anjou with maker's marks on the underneath of the base ( see maker's details in the photos).

In good condition with some natural wear from age and usage.

The cooler would originally have been nickel plated but with constant polishing over many years the nickel wears off to reveal the underlying brass. If desired the bucket can be re- 'electro-plated'- please enquire from our shop.
