A fine pair of Georgian-style leather Gainsborough library armchairs or desk armchairs, upholstered in deep-buttoned burgundy leather for the backs and seats. The leather upholstery is complemented by brass nail-head trim around the borders. Featuring a high back, open sides, and shaped arms, these chairs offer a wide, comfortable seat on a solid mahogany frame, standing on reeded square legs united by reeded stretchers. Both armchairs are in superb original condition, with no damage or repairs, showcasing a stunning untouched color and luxurious comfort. The seat height is 47 cm.
