https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/antiques-decorativeA beguiling plaster figure of a reclining male clutching his robe to his chest, leaning on one elbow with his legs stretched out to the side of him. His face, one of the most important features of any sculpture, is beautifully cast with good detailing. His lidded eyes are alluring and his nose and mouth perfectly formed. His feet, like his fingers are long and elegant and the whole sits on an integral plinth base. Always difficult to date plaster, I would estimate this to be from the first half of the 20th century, possibly the 1930s. The underside is shown in one photo. Overall in very good original condition with lovely aged patina and a good size at approx 60cm long.
