Framed prints from a 19thc French Catalogue of Artist's Materials - these are rare and unusual - sold individually or as a set of 5.
They come from a French catalogue depicting artists’ materials from the 19th c when Paris was the epicenter for young artists from around the world. They came to study and wallow it the renowned atmosphere of the ‘Rive Gauche’- indeed the ‘rue de Seine’ is printed on one of these prints as the supplier of the artists’ brushes – now it is a chic street leading to Le Pont des Arts with many Galleries and smart shops.
