A fine and rare early 20th century, carved Portland stone sundial by J P White. Listed in their catalogue as the 'Ixworth Dial'. This large sundial is in very good condition and beautifully weathered, with carved inscriptions on all sides of the base and retaining what I believe is its original bronze plate by 'Barker & Son Scientific Instrument Makers London', the gnomen with an old brazed repair.
