Item Details

An original art nouveau lantern.  Large sized with a bold design with decorative hoop detail and the classic criss cross design often seen in art nouveau pieces.

Made from solid brass which has a worn gilt lacquer finish.

Fitted with the original frosted glass cylinder.

*CONDITION REPORT – PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS AN OLD BUT STRONG REPAIR TO ONE OF THE SIDE STRIPS.  SEE PHOTO.

DIMENSIONS

Height from bottom of lantern to top of hanging hoop  53cm.  Width 26cm at widest point. Weight 3.5kg

Fitted with a new bayonet fitting (size B22). PAT tested prior to dispatch.

Supplied with 1 metre of  antique gold twisted cable matching suspension chain and a hooked ceiling plate.

Please note that antique lighting may have slight imperfections and scratches.  Please examine photos for more detail of condition.  It is these marks which give the item the unmistakable patina which antique lighting has.
