Heals of London Oak 2 Drawer Cabinet C1930

Lovely looking English oak cabinet from Heals of London, the little ivorine makers button to the top drawer C1930.. A smaller, slender piece from Heals - design number to the rear, sitting in fine order.

The lines, craft and design are wonderful on this one, echoing the era well and it goes without saying, being Heals timber and having been well chosen, there are some interesting grains to all sides. We have 2 tall cupboards with three shelves in each, to the centre we have a 2 door cupboard on which two drawers sit - one having cutlery dividers.

It's a weighty piece in very good order with sensible day to day wear but nothing nasty or off putting. The drawers are running smoothly with all the original little lozenge shaped oak handles in situ. The 2 door lower cupboard opens by way of twisting the handle. The two taller cupboards would have had the same mechanism however age has played its part and both cupboards have a working lock and key for security rather than operational twisting handle mechanisms. We have ensured the piece is clean, neat and ready to place.

A lovely, seldom seen design from Heals of London C1930.
