Pair of Victorian Country House Scale Bergere Armchairs C1900



This pair are very pleasing on the eye and are of a great scale; wide, deep and with a good rake, just how we like them. English C1900. Without doubt grand looking chairs with double cane to the sides and concealed castors to the decorative legs.



Having sat in them, we can confirm they are comfortable, plenty of space and are strong with no wobbles to the decorative frames or cane work. We of course have day to day knocks, bumps, marks but nothing off putting with no breaks in the cane. The sprung bases are tight, good and as they should be.



You could use as they stand however our upholsterer Mark would be able to offer upholstery of the base seat, a feather filled deep cushions to the seat at a cost of £580 plus VAT per seat plus you would require around 3 metres of fabric per chair. He would also be able to offer back cushions in a variety of specs and sizes in addition if required. Please let us know when placing your order and we are happy to assist with sourcing fabric swatches etc.

When purchasing from us we include delivery in the purchase price which is based on a one person delivery for England and Wales. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, The Isles and for World-wide shipping.
For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
