A good, late 19th century English Country house low sofa by Howard & Sons, London circa 1870, the button down upholstered back and stuff over seat flanked by arms resting on turned supports, on short tapered cylindrical feet with brass castors, the castors stamped ‘HOWARD & SONS, LONDON’, the back leg stamped. The seat retaining the original arched wood stretcher underneath. This sofa has been recently reupholstered by us.
