Italian Early 20th Century Equine Work Of Art Oil Painting Portrait Bay Hunter Race Horse Saletto.

Subject sporting Equine horse study portrait of the known animal bay horse thoroughbred Saletto facing left in full side profile he is looking at the viewer, wearing his head bridle reign. Having a lush brown coat and salt and pepper colour mane hair.

Indistinctly signed by the Italian artist.

Having the horse name Saletto plaque at the bottom.

Size of frame 34.5 cm wide and 42.5 cm high also 3cm in depth.

Title “Salettto".

Oil on canvas laid on board.

Set in such a traditional tiger oak veneer frame.

Circa early 20th century. 

Provenance label verso for Marble Arch Art Gallery of Quebec Street in London.

With hanging thread on the back ready for immediate home display.

Condition report offered in fine used condition. Front painting canvas having foxing stains also various craquelure to the surface, some minor paint loss in places , the frame having general wear, scuffs, stains and some losses commensurate with usage & old age.
