An exceptional example of a Leicestershire Comb-back Windsor armchair, possibly by W. Rowe Hallaton. c.1800

The large-scale armchair is deeply curved, with a bent ash top rail above fifteen long stick spindles pierced through the ash arm-bow arms with bent wood supports at each side. The large seat is elm, supported by baluster turned legs joined by a turned H-form stretcher.

With much of the original blue paint work, this is a superb, fabulous and rare Windsor Comb-back.
