This enchanting Italian painting portrays a tender moment between a child and a Guardian Angel. Late 18th/Early 19th Century.


The angel, (perhaps from the story of Raphael and Tobias) with flowing robes and expansive, ethereal wings, gently holds the child's hand, leading them along a rugged path. The child, dressed in a vibrant yellow tunic, gazes up with innocence and trust, embodying a sense of safety and protection under the angel's watchful care. A serene backdrop of a river and distant figures adds depth to the scene, evoking a sense of journey and divine guidance.
