A delightful lead figure of a delicately featured boy playing pipes on associated terracotta plinth. c.1880


Created as a fountain, but equally wonderful as a stand alone garden sculpture. 
This ethereal work of art takes us back to the sunshine filled peristyles of Greece and Rome, of dappled shade and the sound and sight of shimmering waters.


Imagine him standing in the 17th to 18th century parterres of English formal gardens, created in the 1880s over 100 years ago, now to be placed in your walled garden, orangery or terrace. 
A piece to be treasured.


With historical repairs and a superb patina.
