A exquisite pair of smaller scale French Cast Iron Urns c.1870.


The urns showcase the refined craftsmanship of the French foundries and style typical of the period.


Possibly produced by the renowned Val d’Osne foundry, these urns feature elegant swirled handles inspired by antiquity, a lobed ribbed body, and ribbed socle base. They have a distinctive classical aesthetic that would make a striking addition to any collection or garden.


The urns retain much of their original patina, with traces of layers of old paintwork, adding character and charm, and attesting to their age and history.


The delicate detailing, particularly the finely sculpted handles and the understated yet graceful form, captures the essence of 19th-century French garden design.
