An enchanting and serene hand-carved marble Angel c.1860.

This stunning piece is sculpted from wonderful quality white cararra marble is an exquisite example, originally carved by a Master Craftsman for a private French chapel in the late 19th Century.

With the most life-like and delicately carved features, her wings are held aloft and tiny detailed feathers can be seen in the delft carving. The Angel’s hands grasp a palm leaf symbolising peace. Such a serenely beautiful face with eyes cast down in contemplation. 

Imagine her placed in an alcove of your garden; an eclectic interior space; or a quiet corner for inspiration.

The surface of the marble has a delicate time-worn patina, aged perfectly. 

There is a tiny historical repair to the tip of her left wing which can be clearly seen in the images. 
Base of sculpture is 23.5 cm wide x 23 cm deep.
