Item Details

Superb French marble top commode chest of drawers c.1840. Original black marble top with numerous tiny white fossils embedded within. Over a chest of four long drawers with highly figured burr elm veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern across the front. Shallower top drawer with shaped front continued on the sides, three deeper drawers with a splendid set of large and highly decorative brass handles. Note also the unusual trefoil shaped pin to the locks and corresponding key. Sides and plinth veneered to match. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
