Over a two door cupboard fitted inside with a single shelf (internal depth 19"). An exceptional example of the form with solid elm boards of spectacular grain. Carved with delightful decorative floral details to the front. Unusual shallow arch to the top of the doors which feature solid (rather than veneered) burr elm panels . Original large steel escutcheon plates, hinges, lock and key. Shaped apron with moulded edge also continued on the sides, and scroll carved feet front and rear. Typically for antique elm country furniture the piece has old wood worm holes but these have been checked and treated. Otherwise excellent colour and condition. Restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
