Louis XV style French marble top bombe commode or chest of drawers c.1960. 1½" thick pale green marble top with a serpentine shaped and moulded edge over two large drawers. Bombe shaped chest with exceptionally well figured elm veneers cleverly arranged to make a quarter symmetrical pattern on the front and sides. Unusually large and extensive applied brass decoration, handles, corner mounts and feet. Shaped apron between the legs, also featuring a brass moulding. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
