Item Details

Very smart Louis XVI style semainier chest of drawers c.1950. Useful narrow dimensions, less that 24" wide. Original and very nicely figured marble top with canted corners. Over a bank of seven oak lined drawers. Symmetrically arranged kingwood veneers to the front and sides with inlaid satinwood crossbanding and boxwood and ebony stringing. Brass mounts to the shoulders and at the centre below the drawers, decorative brass handles and escutcheon plates. Raised on square tapering legs with brass collars and feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
