Item Details

Pair of early 20th.c. leather bothy style fireside armchairs c.1920. Low backs with unusual short shaped wings and flat-top arms with swept fronts. Over deep sprung seats with extra thick feather cushions in black chenille. Original tan leather upholstery with brass studs. Beechwood front legs with carved acanthus detail. Some obvious wear to the leather with a repair to the backrest on one of the chairs (plus a small patched repair to the lower left hand side of the same chair). The springs in the base are rather soft though the thicker cushions make for a comfortable low seat. Restored, cleaned and waxed in our workshops with fresh covers to the cushions.
