Item Details

Rare pair of large pine banks of drawers featuring the crown and GR VI stamp used on government issue furniture and dated 1944. Both chests featuring 12 drawers (internal dimensions; width 14", depth 20", height 5½" & 11") with solid pine linings and good quality cast iron handles. Solid pine tops, panelled sides and rear. Crown and date stamps to the rear of both chests, together with the name MacDona - assumed to be the manufacturer. Some wear and repairs, generally very good condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
