https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/collinge-antiquesLovely late 18th.c. Shropshire dresser base c.1780. Two plank top with an applied moulding to the underside over three large drawers. Cockbeaded drawer fronts with period replacement brass handles, oak drawer linings. With an unusually deep moulding to the bottom edge of the apron below the drawers, the profile of which is continued onto the top of the front legs. Turned and tapering front legs with a little moulded collar above the feet. Square rear stiles with an old spiced repair to both. Very attractive mellow colour and great rustic character with a slight bow to the top and repair to shrinkage between the two boards. Marks and repairs also to the drawer fronts where previous handles have been fitted. Otherwise very good condition, solid and sturdy, restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
