Item Details

A delightful little late Georgian Welsh oak potboard dresser base c.1790. Useful small size, just less than 5' long. Split level top with a raised plate stand along the back edge (note the inlaid crossbanding to the front of the step) and shaped 'shoes' at the sides. Over three drawers with moulded edges and the original brass swan neck handles (one replacement backplate). Featuring a particularly attractive shaped and pierced apron below the drawers, the sides also shed to match. Raised on four turned column front legs and feet joined to the straight rear stiles with the potboard display shelf with moulded oak panels and a raised board along the back edge. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
