Excellent Pair of Howard and Sons Armchairs


Wonderful matching pair of bespoke Edwardian Howard and Sons Armchairs. Circa 1910.


These fabulous Country House Howard and Sons armchairs were commissioned by a private client. They bear the stamp of Howard and Sons, London on each castor and have an impressed stamp and number to the rear legs for Howard and Sons, Berners street, London.


Attractive walnut turned legs to the front and shaped walnut legs to the back. All have the original brass castors.


The beautiful floral linen fabric is in good order. They are supremely comfortable with a siege de duvet feather and down filled pillow held in place with fixings to the frame and a large feather and down filled seat cushion that fits neatly underneath.


Howard and Sons are known for their sumptuous top quality upholstery, a celebrated British maker who were awarded a Royal warrant in 1901. Their clients have included The Queen of England and many stately homes in the United Kingdom.
