A Dorothy Draper style painted tole 'climbing ivy' sconce, Italian, 1940s - naturalistically designed as a pair of meandering creeping ivy stems, the twin branches with flower form bulb holders, the leaves well modelled with detailed venation, hand painted throughout.  In good overall condition commensurate with age with some paint losses and signs of wear but not detracting in our opinion.  Sought after and scarce in this design - a lovely botanical find. Wired and PAT tested - ready to install.
