A large and wonderfully decorative Uzbek Shahrisabz Suzani panel, the plum silk ground embroidered in polychrome silks with a lively design of flowering vases flanking leafy floral sprays, late 19th/early 20th Century. Bespoke aubergine painted wood frame, glazed.

N.B. The distinctive plum/aubergine ground of this Suzani is characteristic of those produced at Shahrisabz, Uzbekistan.
