A pair of twin branch painted tole 'orange tree' sconces, Italian, 1940s - naturalistically designed as potted 'orange trees', the leafy sinuous branches laden with bright fruits, 'planted' in scalloped, gadrooned semi circular 'wall' pots, the variegated citrus leaves and fruits hand painted throughout.  Integral hooks verso for easy hanging.  In very good condition commensurate with age with minor signs of wear but nothing detracting in our opinion! Currently wired for the EU but can be rewired and PAT tested or stripped out for candles.  Very rare finds!  Extremely sought after in this design, size and in this excellent condition.  Wonderful quality and colouring - stunning and eye catching on the wall!
