An impressive Italian Toleware 'Amalfi Lemon Tree' set, 1940s - naturalistically designed as two pieces - the appliqué sconce intricately designed with fruiting leafy branches bearing large lemons, the branches tied with twisted metal cord at the base, the matching basket or shelf designed in a similar style, hand painted throughout.  In good vintage condition commensurate with age with paint losses throughout and signs of wear but not detracting in our opinion! A very scarce and good sized original botanical toleware set.  Stunning on the wall!  The sconce is currently for candles but can be wired and PAT tested - please enquire.  The shelf currently used  as a basket but could be used as a shelf with the addition of a wood or marble top.  Basket 27cm H x 39cm W x 18cm D.
