An unusual and very decorative painted tole 'Daffodil Stem' sconce, Italian, 1940s - naturalistically designed as a single leafy stem, the candle holder as a Narcissus flower, with integral hook verso for easy hanging.  Original paper label verso 'made in Italy' present.  In good vintage condition with some signs of wear and paint losses but nothing detracting in our opinion!  A charming original example of a botanical sconce - unusual in this design - so pretty on the wall!
