Item Details

The nineteenth century Napoleon III period armchair, in an old fawn draylon, ready for reupholstery, having turned ebonised front legs to slender swept backs each with the original castors, the frame with shaped arms and a scrolled back, the whole surviving from the latter half of nineteenth century France.

The chair is in very original condition, solid and stable and ready for a fabric of your choosing which we are able to administer for you at cost via our upholstery. One of the rear legs appears to be in oak rather than being ebonised so is likely a later replacement. The castors are original but two of them are very worn.

A particularly nice example with the scrolled back, and oh so very French.
