A beautiful 18th Century carved marble bath from Portugal. The bath is made from pedra lioz, also known as 'royal stone', a type of limestone from Portugal. The stone is durable and has been used for many important buildings and items. This bath would have probably used thermal springs. There has been some sympathetic restoration work carried out, including a crack that has been professionally restored with a stainless steel rod inserted.
