Item Details

A rare 18th Century Scottish sundial. An elegant piece that has 'Alexander Anderson Fecit Dundar 1775' inscribed into the bronze plate. The pedestal is composed of typical Scottish red sandstone. There are some chips, rough edges and dinks, commensurate with age and use, (please refer to the photographs). The sundial is weathered really nicely and would make a great feature point in any garden. The top part of the sundial measures: 30cm square. The dial measures: 26cm (dia) x 10cm (h). The base measures: 34cm x 30cm. Other measurements are listed below. The overall height excludes the dial.
