18th century French oil/wine jug in a beautiful ochre glaze from the south west France region of the Charente maritime has three sturdy handles to help pour the liquid contents. This one had previously contained red wine. The finger pinch design down the sides was the potters own individual mark. Some historical repair and a little damage to spout but other wise a great example of a centuries old storage jug
