A wonderful Perpedil rug, dating to the 19th Century, featuring an ivory field, rare among pieces of this type, which works to compliment the rich ochre and turquoise colours which feature in the composition. The design is made up of several geometric motifs, surrounded by a finely detailed border. Being an earlier piece, this example has a remarkably tight weave, lending a real crisp clarity to its drawing.


This early Perpedil rug is in very good condition for everyday use. A charming work of art to add a sense of character to any setting.
