A stylish minimalistic Gabbeh rug from south Persia dating c.1940 woven in natural undyed wool. Gabbeh is a well-known region in south Persia famous for its high quality tribal rugs with soft lustrous wool. The soft grey field has natural colour variaton (abrash) adding great depth and richness to the simplicity of the design, framed by a wide ivory border. It is in excellent original condition.
