Woven in fine lustrous wool, this highly decorative pair of Qum Runners illustrates the best of both worlds - the fine quality of early workshop weavings, and the creative characteristics of rare, tribal Qashqai Rugs of the early 19th century. The array of vegetable-dyed colours including light blue, olive green, ivory and terracotta have aged gracefully.


Both Qum Runners are in very good practical condition for everyday use. The original outer borders and short fringes are still present on all sides.


A unique pair of Qum Runners that were most likely a special commission as they were mainly created in rug or furnishing size format.
