Circa 1870, pair of inlaid, carved Black Forest (or Swiss) hall chairs. With shaped, pierced and inlaid backs with panels depicting Alpine scenery. The shaped seat with further inlay and a moulded edge over a shaped and pierced apron. Standing on cabriole legs with foliate carving to the knees and finishing on a simple foot.
