Circa 1880 with alterations. Pair of figured walnut neat-sized Victorian chests of drawers. The rectangular tops in a beautifully figured walnut and with moulded edges above four graduated drawers with cast brass Arts and Crafts drop handles and brass escutcheons, opening to ash lined (sign of quality) drawers with brass locks by Cope and Collinson (pre-eminent Victorian locksmiths). Both standing on enclosed plinth bases with chamfered tops. Lovely colour and patina.
