The top with the insert burr elm panel with a moulded edge, the deep, hinged lid opens to reveal an uninterrupted camphor wood lined interior with a single removable tray, the front and sides with a similar burr-elm panels, retaining its original large square two 2-part brass back plate and clasp, resting on four elegant carved animal feet with extended reeded quarter blocks with carving on the facings of the feet.
